Chris is a chartered accountant who has been involved in corporate finance since 1983 in Credit Lyonnais Securities, Corporate Finance Partners and on his own account. He has mainly advised smaller quoted companies across sectors but has been particularly active in investment trusts and property. He has been a director of a number of quoted and private companies and is currently a member of the advisory board of solicitors, Gordon Dadds LLP.
Tim is the founder and Managing Director of London head quartered merchant bank, James Stocks & Co. He spent over 30 years in private practice as a lawyer specialising in corporate finance and securities work. Tim is the author of 'Corporate Finance Law and Practice'. Before establishing James Stocks & Co Tim was a partner and Head of Corporate Finance at the international law firm, Taylor Wessing LLP where he was "highly regarded" by the Legal Directories and recognised as an expert in this area of the law. He was nominated for the 'FT Innovative Lawyer of the Year' in 2013 and the team was nominated for 'Corporate Team of the Year' in 2013 for a transaction he developed and executed.
James has worked for well known City investment banks and stockbrokers gaining experience in all aspects of listed and unlisted fund transactions in primary and secondary market sales, and trading activities. James also has extensive investment funds investing and trading experience involving equities, derivatives, investment companies, investment trusts, offshore funds and ETFs.
Tom graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in Physics. During his time there he was a committee member for the Oxford University Polo Club and a member of the Oxford Finance Society. He has a keen interest in derivative pricing and combining derivative structures with conventional loan instruments.
At James Stocks & Co, Tom primarily works on structured finance transactions for sovereigns and corporates across their capital structure.
